CHLOE ANNE
There is nothing more exciting to me than being able to spend the day with my daughter.
She just happened to have a day off of work and I had heard about an amazing field of wildflowers up in Flagstaff. We packed up a couple outfits and head out for a day of adventure in Flagstaff. We stopped and grabbed some road trip food and put Pandora on 80's.
Flagstaff is about an hour and half away from us so we had quite a jam out session. With a 16yr old, that is tons of fun!
When we pulled up to the field of wildflowers, I was surprised there wasn't many people there. Thankfully! So glad we chose to go on a Monday.
We spent some time dancing in the field of flowers, then headed downtown for some pizza. If you haven't been to Alpine Pizza, we highly recommend it. Since the streets were pretty empty we were able to play in some great alleys. I love the spray painted walls and decay of some of the buildings downtown. Alleys and anything run down are my favorite locations.
We then thought we would run up to the Snowball and check out the aspens. It is not quite fall, so there want much going on, but the trees are always beautiful.
It was still pretty early, so we thought we would take the back way home and head to Williams. Downtown Williams is so fun. Route 66 goes right thru downtown so its always a great time. Plus the old train station and funky buildings make it a great spot to photograph as well.
Here are some of the shots we took from our day. I can't wait to pick another location next time. Its great to have a daughter who loves to model and we can spend this time together. We try to head somewhere once a month and see where we end up...
Next month, hmmmm....Who knows where.
